Main Products

Plant-derived glycerin

We manufacture plant-derived glycerin using vegetable oils such as palm oil as raw material. Glycerin is a colorless, sweet, syrupy liquid. The name comes from the Greek word glykys, meaning “sweet,” and was discovered in 1779 by a Swedish scientist, K. W. Scheele, in the hydrolysate of olive oil. Glycerin is widely present in higher plants, seaweeds, and animals etc., and humans also store glycerin in the form of subcutaneous, mesenteric, and muscular lipids. Nowadays, it has become an essential material for pharmaceuticals, foods, and cosmetics as a "substance that is both environmentally friendly and beneficial to humans."
