In 1990 Sakamoto Yakuhin Kogyo established this glycerin production operation to take advantage of the abundant supply of coconut oil available in the Philippines. With current annual production at 7,000 tons, this plant is a base for the supply of glycerin to Japan and countries around the world. The plant began production of diglycerin in 2000.

As Sakamoto Yakuhin Kogyo's Southeast Asian base of operations, SOCC plays a key role in the company's globalization program.
